Hank Berkowitz has over 25 years of editorial, sales and management experience in the publishing and online information industries. He has run successful media ventures in the accounting/tax, wealth management, securities law, pharmaceutical and consumer fitness arenas. Since 2005 he has been lead author of the weekly blog: Online Marketing B2Beat.
Prior to founding HB Publishing & Marketing Company, Hank held management positions at CCH/Wolters Kluwer; CFO/Economist Group; the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants; EDGAR Online and Rodale Press. Earlier, he was a reporter/analyst at Crain’s Pensions & Investments and National Public Radio.
An Economics graduate of Bucknell University, Hank holds an MBA (Finance) and a M.A. (Business Journalism) from New York University.
Away from the office Hank is married with two active teenage boys. He is a national-class endurance athlete in his age group and is a licensed baseball, soccer and wrestling coach. As an undergraduate, he competed for Bucknell University’s nationally ranked (Division I) cross-country and track teams coached by Hall of Famer, Art Gulden. In high school, he was a member of Haverford Prep’s nationally ranked wrestling teams coached by Hall of Famer, Neil Buckley.
A member of Who’s Who in USA Track & Field, Hank has completed all 16 marathons he has entered in under three hours and was the fastest Connecticut resident at the 1998 New York City marathon. In 2008, he was the overall winner of the World Media Run 5K race in Miami for media executives.
